How to read the table

Each row is a hero and each column a skill bracket. The value is the share of games the hero won: 50% is an average hero, and every point above it matters, since most heroes sit between 45% and 55%. Average is the mean of the three skill brackets, the quickest way to rank the meta. σ (standard deviation) measures how far apart the brackets are: a high σ means a hero is much stronger in some brackets than in others, often a hero that needs practice or coordination before it pays off.

The game part buttons filter the matches by length. Early game only counts matches that ended before 25 minutes, mid game those that ended between 25 and 50 minutes, and late game the longer ones. A hero that wins short games but loses long ones is a snowball pick that has to close the game early; the opposite is a late-game hero that needs time and protection.

Skill brackets

  • Normal: matches whose players average Herald to Archon.
  • High: matches averaging Legend.
  • Very High: matches averaging Ancient, Divine or Immortal.

Where the data comes from

DotaPicker collects public ranked All Pick matches around the clock, using the Steam Web API from Valve and the average rank of each match from OpenDota. Matches shorter than 5 minutes are left out. Only matches of the current patch count, at most the last 14 days, and the numbers are recalculated every 6 hours. This page uses data from 3 October 2026.

A high win rate isn't the whole story

The table counts every match a hero played in, so part of a win rate comes from the lineups a hero usually ends up in. A hero can also be strong only against certain opponents. Before picking the hero at the top of the list, check it against the enemy draft in the Counter & Synergy Picker, which combines counters, team synergy and these win rates into one suggestion list.
