Advantage (Adv) - The difference between the actual winrate of the heroes and the expected winrate from their base winrates.
Example: Let's take two heroes, Superman, with a general winrate of 53%, and Lex Luthor, with a general winrate of 47%. When they meet on the battlefield they each have a statistical winrate of 50%.
In this case it's obvious that, even if they have the same winrate when they battle, there is some sort of innate statistical advantage that Lex Luthor (average winrate 47% but 50% against Superman) has over Superman (average winrate 53% but 50% against Lex Luthor). There are many theories about why this happens, but the most common one is related to Kryptonite.
Winrate (WR) - The winrate between the two heroes.
Skill level:
Each line in the graph represents the probability that Wraith King brings an advantage to the total XP of a team
at a certain point in time (the probability to change the inclination of the xp graph).
Wraith King is strongest in the midgame: around minute 25 its team gains the experience lead in 55.8% of games, against 47.9% at minute 5 and 50.5% at minute 45.
The chart shows, every 5 minutes and for each skill bracket, the share of games in which Wraith King's team gains more experience than the enemy team (50% is neutral). All heroes compared: Hero XP Advantage by Minute.

Wraith King is one of the strongest heroes in the data. He is picked in 10.6–14.1% of matches and wins 53.4% / 54.7% / 55.8% (Very High / High / Normal). He is a melee carry who hits one target at a time: Wraithfire Blast stuns and slows, Mortal Strike adds bonus damage, Vampiric Spirit gives lifesteal, and Reincarnation brings him back after death. His peak is the midgame. He wins 55.9% of 25–50 minute games against 51.4% of short games and 51.1% of long ones, and his team gains more XP in 54.1% of games between minutes 15 and 35.
Countered by Phantom LancerPhantom Lancer's team gains more XP than Wraith King's in 53.7% of games before minute 15. Spirit Lance damages and slows from range and sends an illusion after the target, so Phantom Lancer can trade hits without standing next to a melee carry all the time.
Wraith King's damage lands on one target per hit, and Phantom Lancer gives him many targets. Juxtapose creates illusions on attack, and illusions create more illusions. Mortal Strike and Wraithfire Blast can go into an illusion instead of the real hero. Doppelganger makes Phantom Lancer vanish and reappear among his illusions, so Wraith King has to find him again. The XP data shows this is about fights, not farm: between minutes 15 and 35, Phantom Lancer's team gains more XP in only 48.5% of games, yet he wins 53.6% of 25–50 minute games against Wraith King.
This is one of the two largest counters on the site, with a weighted advantage of 15.15 points, about 7.6 win-rate points above what the two heroes predict. It holds in every bracket: +19.7 in Very High, +13.8 in High and +10.2 in Normal. Phantom Lancer wins 60.1% / 55.2% / 52.8% against Wraith King, against his usual 53.6% / 52.9% / 53.5%. The Normal figure is large because Wraith King usually wins 55.8% there. Long games are worse still for Wraith King: Phantom Lancer wins 60.6% of games past 50 minutes (569 games).
Best teammate: Ancient ApparitionThe pair's team gains more XP in only 41.2% of games before minute 15. Wraith King needs farm before the pair can fight.
Ice Blast hits an area with damage over time, prevents healing and regeneration, and shatters enemies below a health threshold. Wraith King heals with Vampiric Spirit's lifesteal while the enemy can't heal at all. Cold Feet stuns an enemy who doesn't move far enough away within 4 seconds, and Wraithfire Blast's stun and slow make that walk harder. Bone Chill slows and removes Strength from heroes hit by Ancient Apparition's spells, so they have less health when Wraith King reaches them. The pair's XP-gain share climbs to 54.1% between minutes 15 and 35.
After minute 35 the pair gains more XP in 62.6% of games, the reverse of their lane. They win 60.1% / 60.8% / 62.4% (Very High / High / Normal), against Ancient Apparition's usual 51.1–53.3%. The advantage is +10.2 in Very High, +10.1 in High and +6.7 in Normal, about 4.7 win-rate points weighted. Their best games are 25–50 minutes long (63.3% over 1,372 games), and they still win 55.8% past 50 minutes.
Based on 365,489 public ranked matches of patch 7.41, played 27–30 September 2026. Advantage is the win-rate difference from what the two heroes' own win rates predict, times two (+6 is about 3 win-rate points), weighted over the skill brackets.
