Luna wins 50.2% of public ranked matches in patch 7.41, the 54th highest win rate of 127 heroes: 49.8% in Very High, 50.1% in High and 50.6% in Normal skill games. It is picked in 10.3% of matches, and over the last 7 days its win rate has gone down by 1.2 points.
Luna does best in medium-length games (25 to 50 minutes), winning 50.6% of them, against 47.8% in long games (over 50 minutes). Luna is strongest against Leshrac, Undying and Bloodseeker, and struggles against Drow Ranger, Bristleback and Nyx Assassin. The best teammates for Luna are Batrider, Elder Titan and Lone Druid.

Advantage (Adv) - The difference between the actual winrate of the heroes and the expected winrate from their base winrates.
Example: Let's take two heroes, Superman, with a general winrate of 53%, and Lex Luthor, with a general winrate of 47%. When they meet on the battlefield they each have a statistical winrate of 50%.
In this case it's obvious that, even if they have the same winrate when they battle, there is some sort of innate statistical advantage that Lex Luthor (average winrate 47% but 50% against Superman) has over Superman (average winrate 53% but 50% against Lex Luthor). There are many theories about why this happens, but the most common one is related to Kryptonite.
Winrate (WR) - The winrate between the two heroes.
Skill level:
Each line in the graph represents the probability that Luna brings an advantage to the total XP of a team
at a certain point in time (the probability to change the inclination of the xp graph).
Luna's team wins the experience race most often early: around minute 15 it gains the experience lead in 56.4% of games. That edge is gone by minute 25 (44.9%), so fights and objectives before then favour its team.
The chart shows, every 5 minutes and for each skill bracket, the share of games in which Luna's team gains more experience than the enemy team (50% is neutral). All heroes compared: Hero XP Advantage by Minute.

Luna is picked in 14.1% / 11.6% / 10.9% of matches (Very High / High / Normal) and wins about half of them (49.6–50.1%). She is a ranged carry: Moon Glaives bounce her attacks between enemies, Lunar Blessing adds attack damage for her and nearby allies, and Eclipse rains Lucent Beams on nearby enemies. Her team's XP-gain share is 47% before minute 15, 53% between minutes 15 and 35, and 48% after. Her win rate falls with game length, from 52.1% under 25 minutes to 47.9% past 50 minutes.
Countered by Drow RangerDrow's team gains more XP than Luna's in 59% of games before minute 15. Frost Arrows slow Luna every time she steps up to last-hit, and Drow's range lets her trade from further back.
Gust silences Luna and knocks her back, which stops her from casting Eclipse or Lucent Beam for its duration. Marksmanship procs ignore Luna's base armor, so only her armor from items still counts against them. Glacier adds attack range for Drow, so she can hit Luna from outside Luna's own range. Drow's team does lose the XP race between minutes 15 and 35 (43%), so the edge comes from fights rather than farm.
This counter is consistent across brackets: +10.9 in Very High, +9.6 in High and +8.8 in Normal, a weighted +9.9. Drow wins 51.2% / 49.7% / 50.5% against Luna, against her usual 45.6% / 44.5% / 46.1%, a big gain for one of the weaker heroes right now. It grows late: 49.2% in 25–50 minute games and 56.2% past 50 minutes (413 games). The 48.1% under 25 minutes is from only 54 games. Luna's own weakness in long games shows here most.
Best teammate: Spirit BreakerThe pair is even early: their XP-gain share is 47% before minute 15, the same as Luna's own. Spirit Breaker roams, so Luna usually farms alone until he starts charging into fights.
This is the pair's stage. Their XP-gain share jumps to 61% between minutes 15 and 35, and they win 54.5% of 25–50 minute games. Charge of Darkness starts fights from across the map, and Greater Bash stuns and knocks targets back into Luna's glaives. Planar Pocket redirects enemy unit-targeted spells toward Spirit Breaker, so the disables meant for Luna can hit him instead. At night, Lunar Blessing is global, so Spirit Breaker keeps its bonus attack damage even when he charges far from Luna.
The pairing is mostly a Very High one: +6.9 there, against +3.2 in High and +1.9 in Normal, a weighted +4.2. The pair wins 55.8% / 52.9% / 53.0% (Very High / High / Normal), with Spirit Breaker normally at 52.5% / 51.7% / 52.0%. The edge fades late: 50.9% past 50 minutes (556 games) and a 48% XP-gain share after minute 35. Use the midgame lead to end the game.
Based on 365,489 public ranked matches of patch 7.41, played 27–30 September 2026. Advantage is the win-rate difference from what the two heroes' own win rates predict, times two (+6 is about 3 win-rate points), weighted over the skill brackets.
