Advantage (Adv) - The difference between the actual winrate of the heroes and the expected winrate from their base winrates.
Example: Let's take two heroes, Superman, with a general winrate of 53%, and Lex Luthor, with a general winrate of 47%. When they meet on the battlefield they each have a statistical winrate of 50%.
In this case it's obvious that, even if they have the same winrate when they battle, there is some sort of innate statistical advantage that Lex Luthor (average winrate 47% but 50% against Superman) has over Superman (average winrate 53% but 50% against Lex Luthor). There are many theories about why this happens, but the most common one is related to Kryptonite.
Winrate (WR) - The winrate between the two heroes.
Skill level:
Each line in the graph represents the probability that Phantom Assassin brings an advantage to the total XP of a team
at a certain point in time (the probability to change the inclination of the xp graph).
Phantom Assassin's experience edge comes late: its team gains the lead in 49.9% of games at minute 5 and in 55.5% around minute 45. Until about minute 25 its team is usually behind on experience, so it needs time before taking even fights.
The chart shows, every 5 minutes and for each skill bracket, the share of games in which Phantom Assassin's team gains more experience than the enemy team (50% is neutral). All heroes compared: Hero XP Advantage by Minute.
Daily win rate and pick rate of Phantom Assassin for each skill bracket, overall and in short, medium and long games. All heroes side by side: Hero Win Rate and Pick Rate Trends.
Phantom Assassin is picked in 8.8% of matches in Very High, rising to 17.8% in Normal, and wins 50.7–51.2%. She kills with physical attacks: Stifling Dagger slows from range, Phantom Strike jumps to a target, and Coup de Grace adds critical hits. Immaterial gives evasion, Blur hides her on the map, and Fan of Knives applies Break. She is a slow starter: she wins 42.5% of games under 25 minutes and 52.7% past 50 minutes, and her team gains more XP in only 42.8% of games before minute 15 but 54.8% after minute 35.
Countered by AxeAxe wins the lane clearly. His team gains more XP than Phantom Assassin's in 63.1% of games before minute 15, and 60.1% between minutes 15 and 35. Phantom Assassin needs farm, and Axe takes that time away from her. Battle Hunger damages her over time and slows her when she walks away.
Phantom Assassin's defence is evasion, and Axe's damage doesn't depend on hitting her. Berserker's Call forces her to attack him while he gains armor, and each attack brings Counter Helix closer, which deals pure damage around him. Culling Blade deals pure damage and finishes her when her health is low, without an attack to evade. Axe wins 54.8% of games at 25–50 minutes against her, the bulk of the 4,245 games.
Axe's lead fades. Past 50 minutes he wins only 46.1%, and his XP-gain share drops to 47.5% after minute 35, when Phantom Assassin has her items. The counter is strongest in Very High (+11.95), with +7.18 in High and +6.06 in Normal. Axe wins 55.4% / 52.8% / 53.1% (Very High / High / Normal) against her, against his usual 50.1% / 50.2% / 51.3%. Games under 25 minutes show 59.5%, from only 84 games.
Best teammate: RubickRubick doesn't fix Phantom Assassin's weak start. The pair's team gains more XP in 43% of games before minute 15 and 44.3% between minutes 15 and 35, about the same as Phantom Assassin alone.
Telekinesis lifts a target and stuns nearby enemies when it lands, and Telekinesis Land lets Rubick drop the target where Phantom Assassin is waiting. Fade Bolt reduces the attack and spell damage of the enemies it hits, which makes fights safer for a carry with little health. Spell Steal takes an enemy's spell, and a stolen disable gives Phantom Assassin another target to Phantom Strike onto.
The pair gets better with time: 52.2% at 25–50 minutes and 54.2% past 50 minutes, with their XP-gain share at 53.8% after minute 35. They win 53.8% / 53.3% / 51.5% (Very High / High / Normal), with Rubick normally at 50.2% / 49.9% / 48.6%. The synergy holds in every bracket, strongest in Very High (+5.85), with +4.63 in High and +3.28 in Normal. Games under 25 minutes show 45.9%, from only 85 games.
Based on 365,489 public ranked matches of patch 7.41, played 27–30 September 2026. Advantage is the win-rate difference from what the two heroes' own win rates predict, times two (+6 is about 3 win-rate points), weighted over the skill brackets.
